Viet Nam Trip - Brittany's Hope

Elizabethtown College students—alongside Brittany’s Hope advocates and staff—are heading to Viet Nam to partner with local communities and help create lasting, life-changing impact for orphaned and at-risk children.

Over two weeks, these trained students will put compassion into action through hands-on, community-based work: providing direct therapy for children under the supervision of their professors, equipping caregivers through practical training, delivering bicycles so students can get to school, helping build a safe home for a family in need, distributing food, and creating joyful “firsts” for children who have never had the chance to take a field trip—to play, laugh, and experience their own country in a new way.

Home Build

Amount: $300.00

High risk families, particularly single mothers, often have to make the difficult decision to place their children in orphanages due to the lack of stable housing. Help a family stay together by building them a new home. Our team will help to build homes for four families in desperate need. For less than $7,000 each, together we can build homes which not only provide safety and security for a family, but also create an asset for generations to come.

Celebration Fund

Amount: $50.00

Give a child a once-in-a-lifetime experience, outside the confines of their care center. The team will take 2 groups--totaling over 165 children-- on a day trip to the beach, followed up with a celebratory party. The trips open their eyes to the beauty of their country, right outside their door.

Bicycle

Amount: $130.00

Just imagine walking 9 miles to and from school each day! Help them get to school faster, ready to tackle the day by providing them with the means of transportation to get there quickly. Help us reach our goal of providing 50 bicycles for 50 low income students. These bicycles will be delivered by the students and Brittany’s Hope staff.

Classroom and Playground Equipment

Amount: $75.00

Make learning effective and fun by furnishing classrooms inside and out. 110 children need desks and chairs to keep them focused and organized. Recess is a vital part of learning. The students needs sports and playground equipment to exercise their bodies as well as their minds.

Food Relief

Amount: $150.00

Provide vital food relief to over 200 families who are grappling with food insecurity. Support for this initiative holds the power to make a significant impact, ensuring that no individual within our community faces the challenge of going to bed hungry.

Children's Home Furnishings

Amount: $100.00

Our Children’s Homes are home to between 50-125 children. Just imagine the resources needed to keep them running smoothly and comfortably. Your gift will help to provide necessary items such as Dryers, Freezers, Water Dispensers, Fans, Wooden Dressers, and mattresses and will help the Staff help to make the children feel right at home.

Medical & Adaptive Equipment

Amount: $150.00

Many rural communities lack access to medical care. Help us equip a community-based clinic with necessary medical supplies and adaptive equipment to improve the health and well-being of at-risk children and their community.
