My name is Emma Keough, and I’m a junior at Lancaster Catholic High School. I play on the Varsity Softball and Girls’ Tennis teams, and through Varsity Club I’ve had the opportunity to work with fellow student-athletes to support meaningful causes in our community. Now, I’m raising funds to share the joy and benefits of sports with the children at Brittany’s Hope–partnered children’s homes, Ben Tre Children Home and House of Love in Vietnam.
My mom serves on the Board at Brittany’s Hope, and I’ve seen firsthand how their events, galas, and tireless fundraising have transformed children’s lives. Witnessing this impact inspired me to take action myself.
As a lifelong student-athlete, I know how powerful sports can be—not just for physical health, but for confidence, friendships, and hope. When I saw the kids at Ben Tre and House of Love playing soccer barefoot or in worn shoes, their smiles still beaming, it moved me to give them more than a game. I want to give them a chance to feel like kids, to experience that moment when you’re not an orphan—you’re the one who scored the winning goal.
The Ben Tre Children Home and the House of Love are safe havens for children who have endured unimaginable neglect or abuse. My goal is to raise $20,000 to provide sports facilities, equipment, and opportunities that will connect them, inspire them, and help them dream bigger. In spring 2026, I plan to travel to Vietnam to personally deliver these gifts and connect with the children.
Thank you so much,
Emma
